I recently got a Spark after reading reviews good and bad. The bad things that are actually true is it only goes about 45 mph maybe more. The worst part is that it comes with no storage, and you would spend a few hundred buying parts getting storage. No room under the seat. And if you do buy the deflector and storage, you have to pay them to install it as if you don't you take the risk drilling holes into the body. Very annoying. But it is pretty fun to ride, it is very light. Easy turning and you can get really good air time. I got mine brand new zero hours for 5400 although I've spent about 500 on accessories. Again, it's super fun to ride if you're a recreational rider and looking to get a ski for around 5k.

Welcome @Jonn and congrats on the new Sea Doo. Sounds like you've been enjoying it quite a bit already. That's great.

@Jonn I agree a great little ski I almost bought one when they first came out. When I started adding up the features i wanted to add I was back in the realm if a fiberglass ski so I went with a new Kawasaki Ultra LX for $8400 but I still see the appeal of the spark as a fun light weight ski.

I miss the days of smaller and nimble skis. I have owned 3 different Sea Doo XP's from year models 2000-2004. I really loved the 2003-2004 XP DI's. They were light, fun to ride, awesome at jumping wake, and quick too. I think I recall they would run around 60-62 stock on GPS, maybe more...it's been a while. The DI engines sipped fuel also. I was sort of excited when I saw Sea Doo came out with the Spark in this day of huge bulky heavy skis. It sounds like it doesn't live up to the skis of the past though. I would like to get my hands on a low hour 2004 xp di.

I had to go big for my families sake. I've got a very big sister and in laws. The smaller skis flip so easily if you don't have balance. They were a blast though.

Congrats !!I'm trying hard to get the ok from the wife to buy one . After buyin the new boat this year I'm not gettin far . Hmmm maybe I'll get one and say it's her birthday present :winkingthumbsup" They seem to be a fun ski !

Congrats on the Spark. Just bought a VX HO, my wife was tired of riding on the back of my FX SVHO... Hope to break it in this weekend. Rode with a couple last weekend that had Sparks. They seemed to enjoy them...13432338_1061277937240677_5612074920222985197_n.jpg

@robert843 not to revive a super old thread, but how did you like the Ultra LX? I found a 2010 with around 100 hours on a double trailer for $6500 and thinking about grabbing it. Owners also have a 2001 Yamaha GP800 they are essentially throwing in for free (runs, but bogs at WOT, likely needs fuel tank cleaned).
