Seat cushion removal - assistance needed

Anybody ever removed the two seat cushions on the engine hatch of a Yamaha? There are 3 bolts going through but when removed, it feels like seats are still secured and I dont want to break anything.
 
@Pullen724 Not sure how much this will help but based on this oem parts site, depending on which cushion you're trying to remove, they are held in place by a few screws as you mentioned and a retaining clip. Actually, the engine hatch cushion looks to be screws + clip as noted in part #'s 6, 5, and 23 whereas the bottom cushion are held in place with nuts.

Note: I've never removed mind but this is the first place I looked to see what was required to replace the part.
