Any idea what is causing the whitening on this front seat and any ideas to correct it? I have tried simple green dish soap and other cleaners with a brush and magic erasers. B42CC8E1-231A-4655-85CF-F2617AA38A25.jpeg19A1EB1B-F71C-48F0-9478-CE1A42CAE552.jpeg

Not sure, but I get spots from people sitting with sunscreen. I use this -> Marine 31, nothing works better on marine upholstery to get it back looking new.

This doesn’t help. But when I get a scratch, scuff, ding or whatever, I remind myself that the boat is an expensive toy, not an investment. It‘s just something to have fun with and enjoy with kids, friends and family.

I've heard magic erasers are bad for the longevity of vinyl seats since they are somewhat abrasive. I've never used one.

This is very true. Magic Erasers are essentially a very fine grit sand paper. Using them on vinyl seats sands away the protective top layer and greatly decreases the life span of the seat.
