The wife and I are heading out to Seattle for our first time this fall (without kids!). We are staying in Bellevue and have a rental car to get around. For those that have been there, what do you recommend doing/seeing/eating/etc.? And what do you recommend skipping?

Pikes place, water front Ferris wheel... staying away from freeways anywhere near rush hour.. Boeing tour, museum of flight , eating at space needle pretty cool

catch a seahawk or husky game if possible

Duke's chowder house. I like the one on Alki Ave.
Soooooo good. :hungry:

The Museum of Flight is outstanding if you like airplanes.

Experience Music Project, take a ferry out to Bainbridge, Seahawk/Husky/Sounder game, lots of breweries to check out.

Quick, cheap eats... Dicks drive in for a burger, fries shake....

Definitely take a ferry ride to neighboring islands, Whidby? Try the raw oysters, many varieties in the pacific NW that are very different from gulf oysters, and they don't have the salmonella issues of those. Eat all the salmon you can hold!

Great suggestions everyone, keep them coming!

Have any specific breweries to check out? Red Hook is an obvious one, but maybe there are others that are good that should be on the list?

So many to choose from. My favorites are Freemont, Elysian Fields, Pikes, Hales, and Maritime.
