I just saw this scary news story/video posted and wanted to share it.

Let this be a reminder to everyone to make sure everything is secured in/on the boat before hitting the road! They are so lucky that motorcyclist wasn't killed.

Holy crap!!!

He got up..then im sure collapsed.. he target fixated also.. he is lucky.

Ouch! :inpain: He did target fixate, but after the first choice of right or left, he was kinda screwed. Hope he didn't get scraped up too bad...no armor on the lower half.

But seriously folks...one lashing strap on that fun pad??? I don't think the boat owner really thought out the forces it was taking on the drive. If you are not gonna be upset about losing $400-600 worth of toys, at least be worried about what it could do to somebody else...even if they were just trying to miss it.:stop:

I was wondering if he was looking in his mirror to change lanes and didn't see it come off...was more concerned about watching for others moving into the lane he was going into....but since his head doesn't move at all....probably more likely target fixation.

We don't ride for us.. we ride for all the other idots on the road.

During my decade of being a first responder only three of all the motorcycle wrecks could be blamed soley on the rider. EVERYTHING else was started by someone not paying attention.

That also looked like a little bit of laziness to not place it under the boat cover. Liability guys.. liability.

Exactly why I ended my motorcycle riding career before it got started: Every accident story I heard started with "They didn't see me and..."

Had the learners permit for one summer. Loved riding but didn't want to orphan my 1 month old daughter I sold the bike and that was that.

This video reminds me why I quit.

I rolled a full block and couldn't go up stairs for a month. I was good about my helmet and it probably saved my life.
Bikes are awesome but i took the "freedom cruise" to the water years ago.

A car would have hopped pretty good on that and a truck would have felt a bit of a speed bump. Guess what i drive the majority of the time....
A chevy 6500 with 26 foot bed and a cat diesel. For work of course, it's not my toy hauler, lol!
But i gotta strap things a hundred times a day and stuff like this is why i check over and over every stop.

Thank you very much for being a conscientious tractor trailer operator!! I'm pretty sure a few of us out here owe our lives to you guys.

Is that normal for people to tie things to the back of the boat while trailering? I seen someone Sunday having their blown up tube tied to the back while trailering. I would never think this would be okay to do no matter how many straps I have on it.
