Hello...
Im also new to the jet boat community. I live in ft Lauderdale. I’ve had a jet boat little over a year. I have bin local and Miami, & have went out @ night..
Going to take a trip to the keys this weekend.
Have wanted to take a trip to Bimini but Iv bin hesitant. I would love to go on a trip with the group. I have a 21ft 06 Yamaha AR210. As Iv bin told I could make it no problem on the correct weather conditions, & correct safety gear
Thoughts?
Thank you all..

I hate you already. LOL

Given your proximity to port everglades I would say prep the boat like everyone else. If the weather is good, then cross. If not turn around and go back home.
Not sure if you have seen it but they are 2 groups going this year.

@Charles attached is a document I've put together with a bunch of useful information. @Bruce @Charles has a good idea, could there be a thread stuck to the top of the Gathering section that will hold just the Bimini information. I would be more than happy to help fill the thread with information.

Welcome aboard. Yes your boat can make it in the correct conditions many on here have been doing it for years in similar boats. Just read the first post in this thread and the prepping for Bimini thread to get ideas of what you will need to make it a safe and enjoyable trip for you. I do think making your trip with a group the first time is a great idea and you will enjoy the trip and have others with experience to lean on. Here is a link to register for the group trip if you would like to join.

I see no reason why your boat wouldn't be able to make the trip there and back. And like you said as long as the weather condition are correct and you have all the right safety gear with you.

So is it a set day trip going & returning, Groups each way..? Does everyone stay on one location section of the island?
Sorry for all the questions
Thanks

There are two Bimini Flings planned for 2018.

Both are explained in detail in the first post of their threads which are

And

This same conversation was happening across three different threads. I thought it would be easier for everyone to combine it into a single thread.

Sorry about that, Phone rest in middle of post. Idn how that happened. Sorry
