I just purchased a Minn Kota onboard battery charger which takes a standard 120v input. I wetslip my boat and I have shore power.
I would like to plug directly from shore power to my boat instead of running an extension cable under my cover.
So the question is which port to get, 15A or 30A
With 15A i would have to use my adapter which is fine
Amazon.com: Marinco Dockside 30A to 15A Adapter with GFCI 30A Locking Plug to 15A Connector: Sports & Outdoors
30A outlet
Amazon.com: ParkPower 15A, 20A, 30A & 50A Power Inlets, Stainless Steel, 30 Amp, 125V: Sports & Outdoors
or 15A
Amazon.com : MinnKota AC Power Port (Black) : Boating Electrical Equipment : Sports & Outdoors
I know some marinas do not want 15amp plugs attached to boats, so something to consider. my marina doesn't seem to care.
