Joe at Ramp-N-Clamp has been hard at work to develop this lock and load roller for the shorlander trailers. He already has Mastercraft using them on production trailers, but he had to modify the location of the catch and release lever to be compatible with the shorlander trailer
I first purchased the first production, not knowing it would not work with my trailer.
I finally am able to put the product to the test first hand and it is by far the best upgrade anyone can make to their trailer. The ease of the product is amazing. No more winching up and putting pressure on the bow hook. Just put the lever in the catch position and the boat will slide on engaging the lock around the bow hook. Releasing is just the opposite. Fantastic product and i Highly Recommend. Holds up to 6500 lbs

or you can view a great conversation about it at mastercraft's team talk... just google ramp-n-clamp to see videos of product and website
i am just an average guy... just letting others know of a great product

It looks good. I'm anxious to find out how well it works for you.

Yeah think I may add this to my growing winter mods list. Bank account is a little dry now with boat purchase and all the boards and ropes and such lol... But looks pretty slick if it works as well as it looks in the videos. You'll have to give some feedback for sure.

i went to the lake with it today... i works flawlessly. My wife drove the boat on the trailer, and even with windy conditions, and her not having it quite centered, the ramp-n-clamp worked great. If you are boating or bringing in the boat by yourself, this product would even be more useful since you would not have to worry about the boat sliding back into the water once it engages.

@Master-Spud i would have liked to take a video today of it, but we had our 7 month old with us today and she was fussy, so we were in a hurry to load things up
hopefully next weekend, i can post a video.

Yeah i've only had to load my boat once so far, but had a rough time keeping the boat on the roller, kept rolling back, so think this would be an awesome fix to that.

I will be keeping an eye on this product. I see several scenarios where it could be really handy.

@Helipilot11 you are correct. it is an amazing product. Granted this is the first time me trailering the boat with it on, but i did notice that my boat buckle transom straps were not loose. They were as tight as when i first put them on when pulling the boat out of the water. Every time with a regular bow roller (i had the stolz), i would notice the straps being loose. I can show it to you in September when you come to Norris if you do not get one before then.

Thanks man. From the pictures and looks of the product it I think it would solve the "slipping of the boat problem". Something I have concerns about. I think I might have to order it under the "safety of the family clause" so the wife doesn't get mad!

absolutely... safety is always reason to spend $$

Gotta love that clause! Add a fume detector while you are at it then!

That's a slick product and would be awesome since my wife hasn't quite picked up backing the trailer and stopping at the right depth:facepalm:...or driving the boat. Why's everything so expensive for a boat?lol, I thought that was just jeeps and rzr's.

Do the newer trailer bow stops still require welding? I would not put one of these on a bow stop that moves as much as my SX230's MFI does in its unaltered state.

I will definitely add this to my mod list.

I couldn't read the entire string so maybe someone has already mentioned his but that looks/ works a lot like a boat buddy .

@Ronnie it does work a lot like the boat buddy, but after reading every post on the mastercraft forum (47 pages worth) every one says the ramp-n-clamp is far superior than the boat buddy. quality / construction / no scuffing etc

Just got an email from Joe
He is offering a 20% discount for the forum
discount code - jetboat20

Will this work with the MFI trailers?

Im gonna have to wait and see how it works for the Yamaha masses. Hurry up guys and get this thing and post yer reviews.
