2018 Yamaha AR195 - looking for some help or guidance. Starts up fine but is slow to take off and hits 8500-9000 RPM until reaching about 15mph then rpm drops to no normal range and power is fine. Has anyone had this issue or have ideas where to start looking for the problem.

Have you checked your pump for debris? Any cavitation? Have you recently done any work to the boat? Clean out port fully seated?

I have checked the pump and there is no debris in it. Impeller seems to be fine No recent work done. There is a small gap between the intake screen and intake duct piece. Not sure if that would cause the cavitation or not. Everything else seems to be sealed up ok. The cleanout port seats on tight.

@Zeusmotorworks just had cav issues and he found the rubber seal on his clean out plugs was bad. He replaced the seals and no more issues.
