Anybody familiar with this lake, If so can you provide some thoughts about it. Considering looking at some land there.

Its a Beautiful Lake. A buddy of mine has a house up on the north west side in the Bankhead National Forest of the lake near Arley, AL. So I have only been on that part of the lake. That side of the lake depending on where the property is located can be somewhat steep to get down to the lake. Just something to be mindful because it can suck carrying coolers full of beer & ice down to your boat dock then all the empties back up a hill and an empty cooler when not 100% coherent. Of course I am not speaking from experience or anything, just surmising that it could be a problem! ;) The lake is deep but not exceptionally wide as you can tell from the map. I live about 40 minutes north of Arley near Hartselle and Decatur AL and plan to take our boat down there some this summer. Where is the property you looking at and I'll contact my buddy and see what he knows about that part of the lake.

Its a place called Sipsey Shores (formerly Camp Jimmy Goodwin) Looks like it is South West side

Ok, I'll ask my buddy what he knows about it. Hopefully some other folks on here may know about that area as well.

Sorry @fairpilot my buddy doesn't know anything about that development evidently its relatively new. From looking at the pictures online it looks like a great place!
