How much weight are you stuffing in your boat?

With the purchase of my last ballast bag I am totaling up the weight and I am nearing almost double the weight of my capacity sticker (1800) with just ballast! :jawdrop: So that brings me to ask what everyone else has in their boats?

stock 750 ballast + two 750 bags probably at around 600 each for another 1200 + filled front floor storage probably another 400 + 500lb people + 300lb gear so I'm probably right around 3k in weight. Rub rail does not get in the water because I keep it evenly distributed.

We list the boat over to the port side for a better surf wake.....we do not wake board that often. I am at 3450 just ballast plus people weight 500, and gear 300 so that puts me at 4200 lbs when I am full for surf and the wife myself and 2 kids.

I run a lot more than I should lol !!! But it's awesome !!!!! Lol

I feel like a lightweight only filling 700 pounds of ballast.

I am new to the whole ballast game, but does anyone have a concern about too much ballast. I currently have 700lbs and with five adults it doesn't seem to effect the boat at all. Anyone had any issues with the boat feeling unstable?

No I never felt unsafe ,

Just really slow to get up on plane, made me a little nervous at first but once I had a feel for it, didn't have any concerns.

This is 2900 pounds ballast plus 800 people weight and coolers. :D

When I had my 212X I filled the factory 750# bags plus four 400# fat sacs so 2,300# plus people and gear. Surf wave still wasn't really big enough unless I had 8 adults in the boat.

Ran almost 4,000# ballast plus people on my Centurion. The rub rail was under water and it was hard to,stand up in the boat it was leaning so much. Threw a MONSTER wave though!

Today we ran factory ballast on my 212X, about 600 lbs in the ski locker, and 400 lbs on the back seat and all who wakesurfed when ropeless sucessfully. i am very happy with that setup in the boat. i've tried to add the 450 bag in the bow but near the stern seems to throw a better wake.

Are you still doing circles @bobbie ?

@jcyamaharider Nope...no circles ever. Will post a video we took yesterday...had a great pocket and push...felt i could go ropeless forever!

Looks like you are flying! !! How fast is that?

Awesome job on the straight line!

Looks a lot faster than we were going....between 9 and 10 mph @jcyamaharider

That's about what we run....10.4-11 mph
