I have one boat cushion that is really rough. The rest of them though aren't in bad shape, but a little stained. How does the vinyl paint hold up on cushions? If it works fine I can get the one seat replaced, and freshen the other ones up with the vinyl paint.

I haven't heard of vinyl paint but it sounds interesting. Hopefully someone here will chime in with some experience.

Vinyl painting will hold up well in your climate/use area (read loooong winters). The painted areas will not match a new seat so you'll have to paint everything. If it's just your seat bottoms, try getting them recovered by an upholstery shop -- shouldn't be that costly. If your overall boat is is really good shape, painting the vinyl will most likely affect your value in a negative manner.
