Have a 2019 195id. I recently removed the sound deadening material over the engine to access the seat bolts. When removed i was left with small hair like fibers from the glue. Question now is to buy replacement oem stuff, buy aftermarket version, or just clean it up and leave without? Concerned about something sticking and holding since the i am not intending to remove the hatch door and whatever i install would need to be applied with gravity against me. Thoughts / options welcome

Worth reading this to help you make your decision. In short, the biggest difference soundproofing makes is at lower speeds. Wind dominates at higher speeds. 3M adhesive (90 strength) properly applied seems to work quite well. Had to touch up a few spots, but it's been holding really well.

Thanks. Was there existing material you removed?

No. In my case it had nothing, hence the project. I suspect removing this would be..... difficult. Sorry, not sure I can advise you on that part. Pressure wash (cover parts you don't want to get wet)? Goo gone or other?
