I’ve searched and looked at the FAQ and looks like their is mostly old or out of date information for sound Deadening on the Yamaha boats. Of course with the redesign in 2019 I’m not sure how much more reduction in noise their might be?

Has anyone sound deadened the newer sx190 or ar190 boats?

We went from a '13 SX190 to a '18 SX195 and it is an amazing difference in sound and feel. The '18 is just a better build and the noise level is quite noticeable. Whatever you choose be aware folks on here have had some adverse things happen when they attempted to sound deaden their boats. Good luck.

Yes I’m looking at the 2021, new to jet boats, concerned about the noise. I’m very interested to hear opinions on this.

I put some weather striping around the engine hatch. It does make a difference. The quietest ride was when i put the cushion over the engine hatch and had my large mother-in-law sit there.

That’s good to know, I figured sealing the engine Hatch wouldn’t be too intrusive before adding lots of egg crate or other material

Dang, i don't have a large mother-in-law...

@FLBulldogger Just wanted to clarify --- are you saying your 2018 is noticeably quieter than your 2013?

Yes the '18 is quieter it appears they reworked the engine compartment just a bit to stop the engine noise from travelling up the side compartments and it makes a difference. Don't get me wrong its not quiet but I have never been on a quiet boat except when using a trolling motor. IMHO Yamahas have a different pitch in sound and for some folks its not tolerable, but I have driven outboards that are loader than our Yamaha.
