Spare Tire Mount Hardware Security

Did anyone that installed a spare tire mount secure the mount hardware (u-bolt nuts) for theft purposes as far as someone just removing and stealing the whole assembly? I have a lug nut lock, but that does not work on the u bolt mounting nuts. I was looking for ideas to secure those
