I am NOT an audiophile but really like music and have been disappointed with the stock 212x system. Trying to stay at or around $500. Not easy todo with BOAT stuff…

I regularly look at offer up with no intent to buy anything but since I am looking for a “cheap” but decent sound system to add to my stock 2015 212x I was looking with purpose.
Is this a good/bad deal? Kicker tower speakers and an amp. I am assuming they are not blown or otherwise damaged.
Your opinion would be appreciated.

Check with your dealer to see if there is an update for your factory amp.

Not a huge fan of Kicker for quality, with that said if your boat is anything like the FSH it will be way better and its not a bad deal. However you will most likely still be unpleased if you have stock speakers installed inside the boat as they will be the same. If you are looking for something to listen to underway I would look for something to replace those. If you want to blast music at a sand bar these should do the trick. I would try and get them down to $500 though as you will still need to buy speaker wire, power/ground wire, remote power wire (assuming your head unit can do that) and a fuse and fuse holder.

Those speakers are about 600 bucks new, so you're getting a free amp.. Pretty good deal I'd say.

In my experience in a past life installing kickers, they're solid reliability wise, sound is good but not my favorite, but some swear by them.. I have a kicker setup in my tbss that nobody would believe is kicker it sounds so good, but it's a pretty intricate Mish mash of parts, and it's not fully dialed in yet.

Personally, I prefer the sound of rockford or infinity, but that's a good deal too.
