Picked up these Alpines to replace the (trashed) stock speakers in the 2015 AR240 I bought recently. Amazon.com: Alpine SPS-M601 110W 6-1/2" 6.5" 2-Way Type-S Marine Coaxial Speakers - Silver: Electronics
They are so good I can’t even believe it. To be fair, anything would have sounded great compared to the 2 out of 4 blown/stock speakers they replaced but I’m telling you, the stock system with these new speakers sounds great (and LOUD) turned all the way up. I was close to ordering 4 Polk DB651s but the reviews on them kept mentioning “no bass” so I went for the Alpines. I can’t tell you how they will hold up but for 80 bucks a pair you aren’t going to beat the sound, no way, no how.
