Now that I have the Hobie jet Skiff fisherman running I am looking into the accessories, like fish finders and GPS.
One thing I think I would like is a side scan fish finder/sonar but then the question is where to mount the transducer where it can "see" both sides of the boat?
The jet is right in the middle and I have no idea how much interference it might have from either the physical jet or the other stuff.
Since the actual jet leaves behind the transom by a good bit perhaps the side view would shoot under it when mounted to the side of the pump.
Does anyone have any experience with these things.

We use Lowrance HDS10 side scanning and structural sonar with one of our rescue boats, which is also equipped with a jet. The transducer is mounted about a foot starboard of the jet. We have a clear image of both sides with no interference.
