Steering helm DOES NOT hit a stopping point port side but DOES starboard side…

When steering port side the steering helm continues to rotate Port Side never hitting a stopping point/lock allowing for continued helm revolutions. But when steering starboard side it DOES hit a stopping point, not allowing any more revolutions. I replaced the steering cables a year ago so they are fresh. The boat turns normal like it did before when it DID hit the stopping points, to both sides just find it odd that it doesn’t hit a stopping pointing turning port side now. It just started happening the last day I took it out. Any help would be great, is there a chance I can fix it myself? I do have Cobra fins added as well…
