Had anyone cut a door into the area directly in front of/below the helm?

Directly across from the port storage area that already has a door? Seems like there is a ton of space in there that isn't used for much of anything. I would love to have access to that space without having to go through the front seat and "under" the bulkhead that is the front seatback.

Anyone know where I could find a selection of doors to see about sizing?

On my 210 there's really not a whole lot of useable space. That's where I installed my amp, but the best way to access is the seat back. I leave the wing nuts off the back of the seat, and just pop the backrest off if I need access. Personally I would not cut the fiberglass to gain access. Too much risk for very little, if any reward. YMMV

That looks very useful. I will probably be doing this.

Thanks for the links. Guess my search terms weren't quite right.

If the seat back comes off with just some wing nuts, I wonder if you could just install a hinge and access that space from the front without cutting the fiberglass. Would still require someone to have to move if seated there though......hrmm......I think I need to go sit on the boat and stare at it for awhile :) :)

@2kwik4u it was listed in the FAQ so it's easier to find some of the modification stuff in there ;)

Thank you sir. Didn't see it in the list when I looked. Guess I need to look a little harder.

This does kind of confirm it as a frequently asked question though :D :D

A tip I use to find stuff in the FAQ is if I'm on the computer I use CTRL+F to bring up the text "Find" searcher box. Then you can type in the word and it will find it on the page. I don't really use the Search function there because it searches all of the site and not only the FAQ section making it hard to find things at times. Too bad this won't work for mobile though heh.
