Strange/cool boat videos

If this is real I'd love to see the rest of the video to see how it ended.

This guy does it with style.

Yeah, he had no one to "hold his beer" after all.
Sorry but WHAT a moron.

The stupidity of the American public never ceases to amaze me.

This seems as stupid, with even graver consequences then the "fire challenge". Guess its a one upsmanship

How about a really long kill switch lanyard?;)

There are some man overboard systems that kill the ignition if the radio frequency of their pendent goes out of range.

Bitch of a swim to catch up to the boat though! Especially without spilling your beer.
Here's another idea - don't be an ass and at least have someone in the boat? Just spitballing...

No way do I think this is real. There has to be someone behind the camera. Most likely that's way they didn't show the entire footage.

I really want to think that this moron paid for his stupidity, but sadly I believe your right and this was a video made to go viral.

Agree, but concerned that some other idiot out there will try to duplicate it and claim his rightful 15 minutes.

When I was a kid, a teenager on our bay had one of those small, "puddle jumper" type of outboard powered go-fast boats. One day he was zipping around and fell out, it had some kind of slow-down-and-circle setup if the lanyard got yanked...and the boat circled around and killed him. My parents didn't let me see the body as they pulled him out, but I sure saw the salvage of the boat, etc. Sad and unnecessary.

Rhetorically speaking, I wonder how many young punks full of spunk are killed each year now trying to get their YouTube moment?

I was amazed at the comments people were leaving on the YouTube video and I think I read some on the Facebook page SpeedSociety: several said "it's only going about 8-10 MPH and it's going in circles, it would be easy to swim next to it on the next loop and grab the side and pull yourself up".

I would love to see that happen!
