Getting ready to install my sub. Debating on if I want to install it IB or build/buy a box for it. Sub is a 10" rockford prime subwoofer.
I was debating cutting a hole for it behind the captain seat. It's a decent use of space, but I would need to reinforce the fiberglass likely, and its a big freaking hole to cut. Are there any other neat places to fit a 10? It is kinda cool having it be out and visible...
Option 2 is a box. Either buy a plastic one, or build/buy an mdf one and coat it with something to keep it dry. This would take up more space, but no holes to cut. I've read people have issues with output unless they vent the area the box is in (would likely place under the chaise seat).
So, what are the opinions? Work up the balls for a huge hole, or play it safe and try a sealed box for a bit?
