I have lost compression in one cylinder of my 240hp Mercury Inboard Engine. Engine has 120hrs on it. Replacement quote $8k. Any repair/rebuild places around SC/NC/GA that anyone has history with?

Is the a hole in the block.? Why not rebuild it

I would like to have that done but can’t find anyone local who works on inboard jet engines.

I believe the power head is the same as the Mercury outboard engines and any repair shop that does outboards should be able to work on yours.

Like he said above pull the motor and bring it to any outboard shop

They just need to reuse the crank if possible
