Ok y'all, I’ve got the surfpoint System down for the most part on my 255XD.

The 255 does an ok job with a wave when surfing but it does a much better job with a FatSac on the transom. BUT… my issue I’m having is with the extra weight of the FatSac, the surfpoint system has a hard time hitting the dialed in speed.
I have it set for 11.2 for my son and it flounders around 9/10 and the wave is shit at that speed. I increase it with the cruise control, but the rpm’s just won’t increase to get the speed commanded. I’ll even set it to 14 as a desired speed hoping it will accelerate and I can cruise control it down ever so slight slightly. But nope.
I’ve even changed the acceleration rate to manual hoping to get to the speed fast quicker. But it doesn’t do much at all to help.

is there a way to deploy the surf point, ballast bags and just do the speed manually?

any help guys?!!!

On my 2024 222XD I've noticed the surf wave takes forever to clean up compared to my manual setup on my old 2019 212X (Wakeboost, 750# fatsac, stock ballasts full). And yes, there are numerous times that I cannot get the 222XD up to my input speed (10.1 mph I believe). If I have 5-6 folks in the boat, I have them all move to the bow so the boat can "plane out". Then they reposition appropriately.

U have too much weight in the back, the boat don't have enough power to get up on the water. Add like 350lbs up in the bow when u use the 800lb fatsac.

I usually will have my cruise set to 13-14 then trim it down after I'm up and away and the wave forms and cleans up.

I run 100-100-35 (non surfside) on the stock ballast. 350lbs in bow, 2 people on boat plus driver I use a GPS app on my phone to track true speed to the tenth. 10.2 to 10.8 is my sweet spot.

Thanks for this information, that’s an amazing wave and I hope I can replicate it.
