Surfpoint Gate Paddle Question

After doing a lot of testing and research on this and other forums, I have to ask if anyone knows why they didn't extend the surfpoint system paddles to the ladder? It seems would likely really clean up the wave ( like the wake wedge) if you it extended and had a curved rearward deflection past the jet nozzles. I wonder if it is because of patent infringement?

I am working on several Ideas to get my 255xd to throw a good (clean) wave with lots of amplitude, length, and push.
