So i have replaced my swim deck radio 3 times now. But this time i did not put it back in the same spot. Its a little tight and ill have to trim the rubber cover (i almost never use it anyway) but this is the best spot i could find to keep it out of the water.

Where did you find the replacement radio at?

Nice job. Good idea with the table mount.

Now that's clever
Looks Good
I always thought it should be mounted higher!

Yeah, that's pretty solid right there.

I though they would not cover that radio? How did you get them to cover it? Think mine is about to go.

When i took it in for service they reached out and for some reason they covered it again.

Aloha @Drift Away that’s a very smart setup and mod. I will be duplicating this for sure. I just gotta get Yamaha to warranty the radio first, if not I’ll need to replace myself. Just wish we could upgrade it to a better unit.

Man, that looks good. I’ve been meaning to do this forever, how does the table mount fit? Any issues? Just bought a new part, correct?
Love it!!
Was there a need to rewire the remote or did you have enough slack on the factory wire?

The table leg covers the hole. But i did have to put a piece aluminum at the bottom behind it with 2 holes. The top holes are into the boat the bottom is thru the plate. Nothing to rewire. Its just a S video looking cable that plugs right in. They gave me a whole new radio. What we see on the swim deck is just the remote. The brain is under the dash up front. I did not change that out so all my presets, bluetooth ect are saved.

@Drift Away where did you get the extra table leg mount from?

Prefect
Thanks
I am not 100% sure our table legs will fit. Ill be back in FL 9 may and i can let you know for sure. I have never used my table on the swim deck it just sounded like a good way to cover up the whole.

While I was adding that item to my “boat list” on amazon, I also saw the whole kit with mount, leg, and table top. With the kids, I’ve always thought it would be handy to have a 2nd table located in the bow.

Do you think a couple strips of aluminum or star board would be enough to reinforce the bow storage compartment, or the front of the anchor locker for a table mount and table??

Hahaha thanks
I will wait until you try it before I order one.
I want to put a mount in the bow of the boat so I can grill in the bow if I wanted to

Do you cover your remote on the swim deck with that rubber like cover that came with the boat?
