I have a 2014 212X. The factory speakers in the swim deck are 5-1/4 Polks where the rest of the speakers are 6-1/2 Polks. Has anyone swapped out the 5-1/4s with the 6-1/2s in the swim deck? Is there enough room to enlarge the hole and mount the larger speakers?

I think there is room butyou will have to offset them to clear the cushion. If you search mythreads, you can see what the did to pump up the volume with them. I retired the stereo and added an amp. Big mprovement giving them their money wn channel

@Englewoodcowboy great to hear from you! Bimini trip this year?

I pulled out the smaller speaker and held up the grate from the 6.5". I think the curvature in that area is too much, so it would have to have a thick piece of foam or a special spacer to make it work.

I would like to run them as-is, but I am concerned with the amp I bought to run those. It is rating at RMS higher than what those speakers can handle. Is there an easy way to limit the power without affecting the other channels?
