Has anyone removed the bolts for the swim platform backrest and added hinges like on the 24' footers? Seems like a good idea for some storage access if you also modded in some shelves.

Has anyone taken these backrests off and have pictures of what's back there?

On one side theres a hole for the engine compartment blower fan. The other side, there isnt a hole at all.

Thai is what was on my 210 (less the 6x9 hole) which we needed up taking out the sound just didn’t come through as we had hoped.

Ahhh much less space than I thought was there. Would have been nice if they moved that same storage are the 24s have down into the smaller models

Yea there is not a lot of space there. You can see from inside the engine area. During the off season I run my battery charger cable under that seat cushion and out the slot underneath. It would take some custom cutting and fiberglassing to create any sort of storage and even then it would be very limited unless you got real creative.

I wished we had storage hatch area on the top surface between the cockpit and swim area like the older boats have. I never noticed they had storage there until I met on of our local Yamaha boaters who has an AR230. It is wasted space on the newer boats IMHO.
