Guest, we are pleased to announce that Hydrophase Ridesteady is offering an extra $100 off for JETBOATERS.NET members on any Ridesteady for Yamaha Speed Control system purchased through March 7th, 2025. Ridesteady is a speed control system (“cruise control”) that uses GPS satellites or engine RPM to keep your boat at the set speed you choose. On twin engine boats, it will also automatically synchronize your engines.
If I want to test to make sure the bilge works, should I just fill the bilge with water in the engine compartment (where the pump is)? Does the water exit next to the "pee" hole?
That is the only way to fully test in order to verify no obstructions and actually pumps water out without blowing the fuse. Make sure the batteries are on if not direct to battery wired.
Just completed and everything worked as it should. Another question, there is a lot of water still in the bilge below the pump. Will that water run out the drainplugs on the transom? My driveway is sloped and I can't get the boat high enough to have the water run to the back of the boat. Am I correct?
Leave the drain plug out and it will drain out going down the road. I have a sloped driveway as well. I pull my truck into the garage with the boat still attached when I wash the boat so everything runs out the back.
