Just wanted to give a shout out to Julian, and the fantastic members here who constantly contribute to the forum. I ran into an issue where I did not realize I needed special hardware to secure my tower and bimini. I bought the boat from a neighbor and he was not given the 4 brackets needed when the tower needs to be lowered.

Julian not only offered to let me borrow his, but came by my house when I just couldn't figure out how to make my own brackets. I just could not picture what they needed to do and how they are mounted. He was able to get me going with the 2 pieces that that secure the lower tower at the pivot point, and made some suggestions on what to do for the fixed bimini support.

The valuable information found here , all provided by members, gives me the piece of mind I need to own and maintain this boat. My marine mechanic wont touch jetboats, so knowing there is this amazing resource is very reassuring.

Btw if a "Marine mechanic " wont work on something as simple as a Yamaha jet boat, he shouldn't call himself a mechanic.
I get if he doesn't want to mess with the Connext but the rest is super simple.

Glad to hear you got your tower bracket issue sorted out

Awesome. That's also why I come back here all the time!
And how I feel about this site, too. Well, most of the time, lol.
Kudos to @Julian. There should be trophy points for hands on help to fellow (jet)boaters!

Yeah, I've always felt that while the wealth of information on this forum is invaluable, it's the willingness of the members to actively assist others that really sets this forum apart. When questions are answered, you generally don't have to then determine whether or not that person knows what they're talking about. And on the note of marine mechanics not wanting to work on these things, I really don't get that. I think I'm going to pose that question to the group, see what some real reasons might be.
