Ive been trying to read up on The Travelers Marine coverage. They are one of the few insurance companies that offers "Mechanical breakdown coverage". Im trying to find anyone who has used this coverage or knows anything specific about it. Having a 190 and always thinking that my timing chain can blow and destroy an engine at anytime makes me a little uneasy. I think it might be worth the extra money to insure with them in case my chain does let go. From what I read on the Hulltruth, travelers pays claims pretty helpfully. Anyone have experience to add?

I have travelers marine insurance and of course my agents swears by them but luckily I haven't had to use them. From folks I know that have had their car insurance and had a claim their response was top notch so I would suspect their marine insurance would be the same.

Not for boats less than 26' but my agent wrote a personnel policy to cover my trip.
