We had a micro burst or a tornado today at the lake. Luckily the boat was not on the lift at the time but our lift got tipped over and the neighbors lift got tossed a good 50 feet and landed in pieces in front of ours.

Neighbors lift is the one closer to shore. Neither lift had their canopy installed yet. Last photo gives you reference his lift was on shore in the patch of tall weeds to the left. His lift is in pieces ours might be ok but too soon to tell.

Holy CRAP!

Looks like the 3rd lift down the row, with the pontoon, didn't sustain damage? If so, that was most likely a small spin up of a tornado.

Thats incredible wow

Glad yall are ok and the boat was not in there!!

I got stuck outside of my work during a microburst several years ago and it scared the living shit out of me. It was just after we had a record tornado outbreak so I thought for sure it was another tornado and I was about to become Dorothy flying through the air to my death lol. The pressure was so intense that it slammed shut all of our doors in the manufacturing plant and I couldn't open them even using my leg against the brick wall to push off from. It ended up flipping over several of the 18-wheeler trailers behind our plant and scattered them along the railroad tracks. Scary stuff!

They are not on pilings they sit on the lake bed on feet. It is strange that the other lift next door did not get damaged. Talked to the marina and several lifts around the lake are flipped two of them had very expensive inboard wakeboats on them. The neighbors lift must of done cartwheels across the ground because you can see marks across our beach where it hit. Amazing that our pier is OK as well.

I've seen some of the weather you all have had come through there in the past couple days. Glad you are safe!

Wow
