These things are going to take over the world

I'm ready to see one do an American Ninja Warrior course after watching that.

I think it was 60 minutes that did a piece on this recently....lots and lots of falls before they got that take! What will be interesting is how they do in the real world. Would hate to have one of those fall on me! Whooops....it jumped off the balcony by accident.

They need some better pads on their feet. They kinda sound like poor little tink tink.. Someone will get that joke.

I’ve been following for years. They have made real progress. It is very impressive and scary.

Unless they are nuclear powered, storing that power to cover long distances is not a piece of cake. the billion dollar problem is cheap and dense energy storage. I'm a bigger fan of purpose built machines (Auto Lawn mower, Auto Pizza maker, Auto Car Wash, Auto Elevator) Wow, we have a few of those :)

I did not know that. They can’t reliably repeat something like that course?
Not that it’s easy, but I would think once they have it down then they’d be good for future runs.

Haven't I seen this movie before? It doesn't go well....

A descriptive video here, with falls and slip ups starting around the 2:00 mark.

Sooner or later they are going to perfect this.....

I needed one of those to carry my darn combat load ruck. It may have saved my knees and back during my HOOAH days. ;-)

One day, you will be on the water, and see one of these things driving a wake boat while another one is spotting some dude surfing......... Now I don't need to make friends to do water sports :)

This.

They are a long, long way from safe, reliable, practical application in most human environments.

They are, OTOH, far closer to practical than they were just a couple of years ago. And they are closing the gap every year.
