The Wake Wedge ain't no joke! @jcyamaharider

We did as little surfing off @Bill D's boat trying out the Wake Wedge for the first time. Pics don't do the wake justice as it was much larger and thick in person. Bill was able to get ropeless and I switched to his new CWB board and was really close to going ropeless.

Wow, that is a great looking wake. You've got some serious bags in on that boat.

That feeling you get when you go ropeless behind your boat...

Here's some pics of me riding Bill's CWB Bentley. That thing is so buoyant! These pics really give you a sense for the size of his wave!

Then she wanted to crest the mountain. I think this is right when she realized it wasn't a good idea :D.....

Here's some video

How much ballast? Looks like maybe under 2,000lbs? What was your speed?

I think we had just under 2,000 lbs + 400 or so human ballast. I can't remember if the bag over the ski locker was another 540 or something different. Speed was in the 10-11 mph range using his perfect pass.

540 on the ski locker and the swim deck and 800 on the port seat with three people on board. My wife's stuff was also on the boat, so add another 250 in miscellaneous scattered items.

Speed was 10.3 - 10.5. The wedge made a huge difference! Worth every penny.

Pics look great !!!! So glad you guys got out......only bad thing was I wasn't there too share in the glory! LOL

Like you said @haknslash the wave is always WAY more impressive in person. I looked behind my boat this weekend and thought I was going to swallow up my daughter who actually got up for the first time!!!

@jcyamaharider dang you got a waterfall off the back of that curl! Killer wave!!!

Let us know if y'all ever make the trip down this way as I'd love to surf off that sucker! :D

Not a problem. I just google maps it and it is only 8 hours for us.

You guys can just follow us down from Shelbyville. ;)

Bill it's a shame I didn't get video of the other surf guy with the Malibu who met both the wakes head on :D

Have you had a chance to see if your footage caught it?

Lol, I haven't had a chance to look at mine yet. Hopefully we got something.

While we were surfing, we passed a Malibu on the port side who had a surfer behind their boat as well. Once our wakes combined, he got launched! I'm not sure if he saw it coming, but there was no riding it out...

It looked something like this :D

Here's another edited video combining Jin's drone footage and some extended surf footage from the boat.
