Thinking of adding a railing to bow area

I am considering adding a railing around the bow area of my 2020 SX190. I've seen rails along larger boats and they seem like quick attachment points for fishing pole holders, umbrellas, bumpers, etc. Also, I think they look cool (but that's just my opinion). Are there any drawbacks? I'd have to see how my cover would handle it - I do want to check out a snap in cover too. Does anyone have experience with how sturdy they are after mounting?

Thanks!
