Yea just drop a pump in a big drum of the stuff and pump through flush hose with engines running ! ... LOL .. no but after cleaning out my jet nozz grate and seeing how bad it was could only imagine what inside engine ports look like ...
 
If engine is not overheating, I would just try to dry it out by running it 60 seconds without water. Doing that periodically while the boat is laid up will prevent bio-fouling.
