Well sadly, we have had another year of limited, 4, outings. So thinking about selling the boat.
Does anyone keep up with the market and value of a pristine 14, 242 LS. I still have a note on it, so that makes the selling more difficult, but after 2 years and only 6 trips to the water, i dont think its worth the cost anymore at least for my situation.

Boattrader and Craigslist can be used to check comparable listings.

Letgo and carousel are mobile apps that have some boat activity and may help sell.

This close to Winter it may be a hard sale before spring.

Best of luck on your decision.

Sorry to hear that you haven't gotten the use out of it that you expected. I sold our old Yamaha and had to wait a few years while my kids were older before jumping back in - but sometimes its better to cut losses and not have a depreciating asset sitting in your garage. Hopefully, you can find more time in the future to make another go at it.

If you do plan to sell, I may have someone who is interested for the right price. And if you do end up listing it be sure to post it in the classifieds sectionhere so that other members can see it and share.

Selling a boat with a note on it may not be as difficult as yiu think. I bought my boat from a guy who still owed on it and found the transaction was simple and almost painless. The banks handled all of the paperwork/made sure titles (boat and trailer) transferred appropriately. My lender gave me teo chexks to take to the seller, one was to his lender for the pay off amount the other was to him for his "profit". The only downside was the inability to "correct" the sales tax basis.

A 2014 pristine limited S probably has a listing range of 35-40K and an actual sell range of 32-36k I'm adjusting a little for the fact it probably wouldn't sell till spring now. Tough part about a boat that new is it still has value but you are competing against new and where they made the changes in 2015 which means you have to be priced low enough to make your boat desirable against a used 15 model if you are priced with in 2-3k of what the 15's are selling for most people will go for the 15. I agree with the others there should be no issue selling the boat with a note on it that part is usually handled by the banks its really not that bad at all.
