That's completely awesome!! I could enjoy that......except the freezing my arse off part.

The funny thing is that I totally connected to their damn the torpedoes attitude.
It reminded me of being out in the gulf of Mexico jumping hurricane waves until I broke both sponsons off a Sea doo 4 tec gtx a few years back.
Nothing deterred their fun.
That being said I would not try this on a bet, just one mistake away from catastrophe.

I'm just thinking that there would be a lot of gel coat damage. Ice isn't very soft.

I am thinking it looks really, really cold.

Bonus points for creativity, however.

I wonder if the owners of that (wooden) aquaduct knew jet skiers were going to use it?
As for the ice one....they must have stopped a LOT to clear ice chunks from their intakes...but they don't show that.....and that must have been a sucky freezing PITA!!! Hope they had dry suits on!!!

Holy shit! I just saw the wooden aquaduct vid, that is insane. Really.

A few things went through my head watching the "crazy" Swedish video:

  • The guy on crutches at the beginning of the video speaks volumes
  • I'm guessing that's a fresh water delivery system
  • when he goes under a bridge, he leans back, and the nose of the ski goes up quite a bit coming very close to the underside of the bridge.
Other than that, it looks like a blast!!

There's no chance of ice skiing in Tampa Jeff, but the East coast is expecting some more of the white stuff.

Yea it sure looks like some real bad weather, I'm sure glad I left that climate 42 years ago.
