I tried searching, but I am curious if there is a thread that cover specific issues on certain year models? I read some where that certain year motors had timing chain issues? I am looking to buy a boat soon and I want to know what years to avoid and what are “ known issues” just looking to further my knowledge. Thanks All!

2016 is when they updated the timing chain and related components. IMO earlier year 230 series boats were built a bit stronger than the newer stuff, but older engines and tech as well. Plastic scupper needed to be upgraded on the older boats because they could crack and fail below waterline. They were replaced with stainless steel scupper. I'm sure others will chime in but those are the main ones off the top of my head.
