Looks like you have the thrust vectors from JetBoatPilot. They are designed for no-wake speed control. They fold up at high speeds so they won't provide any additional steering control. Double-check to make sure they fold up and spring back automatically. They shouldn't make steering worse than it was before.
If you're looking for better control at high speed, look at the Cobra Venom Magnum AK. They bolt on without any spring mechanism and stay in the water at all speeds. They also include a 2nd arm for the keel rudder so both nozzles control the rudder, rather than all the force on the starboard nozzle. I have them installed on my 2018 AR240 and love them.
I found with the Vectors that they do not fold back down unless you pretty much come to a stop and go in neutral. If you come off plane and keep some sort of speed the fins will not return to the down position this losing control.

I like the second arm idea. I don’t mind the no steering help at high speed. I got them for low speed so I’m fine with that. I just thought my steering towards the right got stiffer. Maybe it’s all in my head. They work great i just wasn’t sure if It was normal. Thank you

Make sense. It felt little different when i slowed down to the 5mph no wake zone. But then was fine when i came to N and F to dock. I’m fine with that. They made hell of a difference for me.

I personally was ok with the quirk but I ended up switching to the Cobra Ultimates for the time when someone else is driving I don’t have to tell them “ok when you slow down, make sure you slow down enough so the fins go back down” I took all the guess work out and put the Cobras on and left them in the locked position. Jeff claims a power steering effect and he’s right. The turning is butter smooth. I felt with the Vectors the steering became a bit stiff.

yes i have a bit of a stiff steering but just put the vectors on i don't see changing them soon. for now im very happy with the results. maybe when the steering stiffness becomes an issue ill swap them out. thank you for confirming.
