I tried to search the forum and watched Will's install video on YouTube but couldn't seem to find an answer. When I install the right side fin the spring is causing the top of the fin to push over into the jet nozzle cover even with the spacers installed. They don't bind at all and appear to operate smoothly but should they be rubbing even the least little bit?image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Call JBP directly and they'll help you through the install...

Looks pretty normal to me. However, I can't say that I ever really noticed on mine. I would lift them and see if there is any binding or catching. I am betting that in operation as the two sides get pulled up by that horizontal bar that it lifts it away from the jet and there is no issue.

All of that said, if you still have questions, I agree: call JBP. They seem to have invented customer service.

So, I had opportunity to be at my boat this morning, so I took this pic:

First observation is that we seem to have different jets. Notably, mine do not reach out flush with the fin like yours do. So my install may not match yours. But my spacer does hold it just a bit out from the jet.

Not sure if that is helpful, but... there you go.

I just went out and checked mine and I have the same set up as @tdonoughue . However, friend of mine bought a new SX192 and I installed his TV's for him, but I don't remember what that part looked like. Keeps his boat in storage, but I'll have him take a pic next time he's there, in case you don't have an answer by then.

@AndyD the install looks good to me. You said that you have the thin nylon washer installed between the fin and the reverse gate right? There is very little clearance between the two but we've not experienced any issues since the addition of the nylon washer. It was added to the kit to prevent vibration in the throttle levers while at speed. This seems to have solved the problem.

I would rotate the fins up and down and be looking to see that there is no chafing or rubbing. If you have any issue let me know.

Thanks for the feedback. Everything moves normal with no binding so I'm feeling good about it. Haven't taken it into the water yet but it'll get the full test drive his weekend.

Ok great! You should be fine. We look forward to hearing your feedback!

@JetBoatPilot customer service is wonderful and the install instructions where wonderful. In fact I just 30 seconds ago bought more stuff from their website.

Just wanted to blow some kudos up JBP's skirt!

@Eric Ballard , I know exactly what you're talking about. When I had it on my 190 I had the same issue. The very edge of the spring retaining hook grabs the cover. What I did was file that across all the raised edges of the nozzle. It then cleared the nozzle and the small amount of plastic I filed away was not even noticeable.
