Bought a new set of tires for the 0FsQ7 back in late June. It's an oddball size (285/40/21) and they're hard to find locally so I went through Tire Rack. This is the 3rd set I've bought through them.
Picked up a screw this morning and had a flat at lunchtime. Time to exercise the road hazard warranty. Q7 doesn't have a spare, so I called TireRack and they cover a tow if no spare is available up to 25mi. My preferred service center is 17mi from the office. Tow showed up, put air in the tire to avoid damage to rim while loading, and took me with them. Zero cash out of pocket, no forms to sign, just made it happen.
Got the tire patched, and all 4 rotated and balanced. Repair and rebalance for 1 was $35, $75 total bill. I submitted a claim (for the $35) after a brief online chat with TireRack, and it's already been approved and pending in my account.
This is the second or third time I've had to deal with customer service at tire rack and they continue to impress. Online retailers are typically hit and miss, but these guys continue to hit. I saved a bucket of cash getting them online and really don't feel like I've lost any level of service or capability. Local BigO loves when I have the drop shipped in, I'm a picky customer and they know it. So I get the EXACT tires I want and they always do a great job with the mounting and road force balance and continue to get my service for flat repairs and rotations because of it.
In a world of complaints and disgruntled customers, just wanted to share a ray of light from a reputable set of vendors!
