Hey all,

I'm going to be picking up a 242x E-Series about the first of June (can't wait) and I'm already linign up my mods for the weekend before delivery and when we first splash it. As many of you know, I keep my boat on a wet slip all summer admin wondering what y'all use to cover those tower speakers to keep the sun from rotting them?

My thought for the sound bar is I'll turn them down as others have for Bette sound in the cabin. This should protect them.

My question is what type of covers have you found Togo over those Polk 6"cans? Or do you? I just hate the thought of the sun beating on them ever day all summer long eating away at the membranes in them. I've searched on line and it seems there's a plethora of covers available...But alas I don't see anything for Polk 6" cans.

Thoughts?

Bro, the Bimini on our boat is huge! Sun won't touch it!!

Good point.

I should have clairified that when I'm not up at the lakemy plan is to take the Bimini down so the sun won't rot the fabric on it, this leaving the speakers exposed.

Gotcha, I only take mine down if we are trailerin more than 10 miles. We keep our boat in covered storage when we're not in the lake, luckily it's across the street from the ramp we usually launch from.

Yeah. Unfortunately I can't get to the lake every weekend so I usually put the Bimini away to preserve it.
