Do you only need tower speaker covers in salt water environments or where the sun is hot a majority of the year like Florida?

I just had tower speakers installed and they will be under the bimini 99% of the time during the season. The only time I tow more than a few miles is to/from winter storage each year. The interior speakers/sub will be under the mooring cover during (heated) winter storage so there is some protection - should the tower speakers be covered during storage??

You would be fine with no covers. I only got covers for the distance I tow and during high use times I store the boat outdoors.

Get covers. Spiders love tower speakers.

Speakersox.com. I bought them from recommendations on here. Really nice quality. No regrets.

For me it is to not have to clean all the bugs off from towing.
