Tower speakers into Hull connection

Installed tower speakers earlier in the summer (Had a friend help) and although they are working fine I ran the wire from the tower into the boat over the windshield as I didn't want to drill into the hull... that's fine, until you try and put your cover on the boat and the wire is in the way. How did you guys get the wires from the hull to the tower either with a connector to be able to remove and replace everytime you pull the cover (Which seams like a pain in the butt) or is there an alternative?

we drilled a hole in our hull and ran the wires into the boat with a rubber grommet
