I ordered a Trailer Valet 5x and it just arrived. After some time with it, it seems as if I'm having a hard time figuring out how I'm going to mount it on the trailer. There is only a small gap between the factory stand and the trailer split to the rear and only a small gap from the factory stand and the folding joint. Neither are wide enough to mount the Valet. It is possible to mount on the extension arm of the trailer that folds in and out, but it would require longer bolts as it is slightly wider than the main trailer frame.

I don't want to adjust the position of the roller/factory stand as it seems like it is set for the boat specifics but I cannot determine any other location to mount it....

I don't think you have any other option than mounting it to the swing away portion of the tongue.

Do you have the painted trailer or galvanized? I just mounted the 5X to the galvanized trailer the other day. I mounted it to the opposite side of the jack thats attached to the trailer, and right behind the jack/winch mount. I can actually sit on the folded tongue and with a 20V drill drive the boat into my garage. It looks ridiculous and my wife and kids were hysterical laughing, but it works.

I also mounted the circle to the ground to lower the amount that the lower leg could act like a lever.

Just as an FYI... I think you made the right decision with the 5X and not the XL. The XL is nice in that it doesn't require it be mounted, but the XL can't move my boat on anything other than a flat surface and I can pretty much to that myself with the hydraulic jack.

@Jason Talley I'm interested in this for my boat as well, please let me know how it works out for you.

For me it's been working great. Super easy with a cordless drill

And I mounted mine behind the bow winch and before the V.

I mounted mine just forward of the folding joint. There was no other option for my trailer. If mounted before the v, there was not enough vertical clearance to turn the TV handle that raises and lowers. Before and after the jack mount was too narrow. The only problem I have with the TV is due to where I was forced to mount it. It is so far forward that the brake/turning handle cons in contact with my vehicle before the hitch is over the ball. So I have to either back up the car a little bit once in place OR turn the TV around backwards to make that extra couple of inches. I've used it a few times now and it works great for getting it in place after I have backed up my trailer wheels into the garage. Also for getting the boat out of the garage up to the rear wheels and lines up with my ball.

Nice. I like that location too. I only use ours to get into and out of our side entry garage. It then gets disconnected and left at home. The one mounted on the winch will serve all other duties.

Does it lower it enough to get into your garage? I have a very low opening and would rather use this instead of a caster.

Hey @Rob9550 , it does lower enough for me to get it into my garage. I have about a 6'11" clearance. The guy who sold it to me had to use a floor jack. I don't. It LITERALLY clears my garage opening by the thickness of a hair. PERFECT!

How hard are the 192's to move by hand over concrete for only the length of the boat?

@Jason Talley, Depends on what you're rolling on, and more importantly, how much of an incline. I have a bad back to start with, so for me to be able to back into my driveway and then simply unhook and surgically place the boat in the exact spot in the garage that I want it was well worth the $260.
