Can anyone let me know hoe easy it is to route the transducer cable though a FSH 19?

I like to know generally how to do it, pull the bucket compartment? Remove the cover under the console? Straight shot?

Any help is help. So if you have a few words on routing the cable, please let me know.

Thanks so much.

Matt

As I recall its pretty straight shot. Pull the bucket as well as the helm gas tank cover and you can fish the wire right into the changing room and up to the helm.

Ditto on what Tailwaters said. I pulled out the bucket container, fed the wire along the wiring bundle into the engine compartment, starboard side, through the fire wall, over the fuel tank, and into the changing room and then up to my chartplotter. Probably the easiest part of the install.

Hi All,
I'm at this point of installing the Totalscan Transducer and was wondering exactly how you guys penetrated/where on the transom? I have seen where someone ran it through a drain and T'eed it off/siliconing same. Any info would be most welcome!
Thanks

Several have run through the drain. I'm old school, just drilled ahole through the transon like it's always been done and siliconed it with a clam shell. Works great and looks good.

Here's a pic

I installed mine a couple weeks ago and went up the drain to a Tee, I would not suggest with a Totalscan transducer, I knew as soon as I cut the cable I could have problems, there are 10 wires and 3 pair are shielded separately and the the entire cable has shielding. It was a nightmare reconnecting, it would have been much easier to drill a hole and then silcone it.

The only hole I had to drill into the hull was above the water line. I like it that way.

Did the same thing the first time around.
Now I'm epoxied down and shootin through. No wire outside anymore.
Of course, I'm only shooting DI though. No side scan.

Where did you mount your totalscan transducer? I cant tell from the picture. I need to mount mine but I want to make sure I mount in a spot where I can fully utilize the sidescan capabilities.

Hello,
I mounted the transducer to a 3/4" piece of starboard cut to the same dimensions of the transducer. This moved it into the clean water stream. I then used liquid nails marine grade to mount the transducer to the starboard and then to the intake cover, off center to the starboard side. No drilling except for the cable stays. I removed the transducer to replace it once and all it took was a screwdriver between the stairs starboard and a lever arm to lift it. The real strength is horizontally, not vertically.
