I currently own a 2015 24' Limited S that is currently in the shop for some work. I know awful timing but I will explain in a later thread.

I purchased a Raymarine Dragonfly with transom mount but the shop is finding it difficult to mount because of the rudder/keel system. I have looked over the forums and haven't found much information.

For those that have installed chartplotters on the newer boats where are you putting the transducer.

Its not very difficult, this is my Dragonfly transducer install. I got all scans at all speeds even on 5-7' chop of Lake Erie.

Thanks for the pictures. I am currently going to use it as a chartplotter and then see in the fall about the install of the transducer

Thru-hull is the way to go. I put mine about 6-8in in front of the drain plug port. Haven't had any issues with readings under way.

Here is where I put mine....

Are you happy with the transducer performance there? I still don't know if I'll get a transducer or not (dont really fish).

Transducer got ripped off pulling on to my lift. I need to remove the whole thing and clean it all up. Not anything I need anyways, stupid purchase.

Thanks for quick reply, I have concerns I would do the same if I mounted there. Really just want the gps but figured for price I’d buy the transducer too…

I still have the display for GPS/waypoints at new lakes.
