Twin engine - single tachometer

Has anyone ever come across a single tachometer with two feeds for twin engines? Basically, two tach needles in one gauge.
 
I'd like to know this also. You could then open up a hole for ridesteady
 
That's a pretty interesting idea. There are lots of folks that have wanted space on the dash to add to.
 
Yeah, finding a dual tach that goes to 8k+ that doesn't cost $500 looks like a hard find.
 
As crazy as it sounds I have an educated guess (wiring diagram from other model) that the port tach on most Yamahas that display gps speed is also responsible for some canbus communication. Having communication errors thrown up all the time would be less than ideal.
 
You could put them both behind the dash and use the NMEA 2000 hook up to a chart plotter that shows the info it could free up both holes on the console.
