Good afternoon fellow jetboaters! We wanted to take some time and post a change to our Warranty Policy for Thrust Vector and Lateral Thruster products.
As these product categories age and as boat makers change their designs, we too must adapt our products to remain compatible and relevant in the marketplace. As a result of ongoing changes that have become commonplace these past few years, JetBoatPilot has been required to release several versions of our Thrust Vector products, specifically for Yamaha boats. As a result of these changes it has become increasingly difficult to stock and manage legacy parts for older Thrust Vector systems, such as the original Thrust Vector (discontinued in 2012) and Thrust Vector XL(discontinued in 2015).
Moving forward we have amended our Warranty Policy to help us continue to serve you while at the same time allowing us to have a set policy that can be understood and adhered to internally. Our new policy, which can be found in the "Store Policy" section of our website reads:
"JetBoatPilot warranties Thrust Vector products & Lateral Thruster products for the duration of the product variant's production/manufacture. (For Example: Thrust Vector product variant "Thrust Vector XL" carries a limited warranty for the duration of its production/manufacture plus 1 year. Once Thrust Vector XL is discontinued the limited warranty expires 1 year after the date it was discontinued). All other products manufactured by JetBoatPilot LLC are warrantied for a period of one year from purchase date. This warranty does not apply to damage caused by customer misuse or abuse.
To file a warranty claim you must obtain an RMA by contacting our customer service department. Shipping costs will be the responsibility of the purchaser and proof of purchase must be presented.
JetBoatPilot's liability shall not exceed the retail value of the product to be warrantied. -Products purchased through JetBoatPilot LLC but manufactured by other companies will be covered by that manufacturer's warranty policy.
All pricing, specifications, dimensions and design characteristics are subject to change without prior notice.
